JackKnife

"Needs SFX"

submission: JackKnife
date: January 3, 2008

Animation was beautiful... great action sequences and a good music choice... but the absence of sound really drew me out of this. The whole time i was watching i thought of nothing but awesome sound ideas.

Keep up to great work on animating and it would be great to hear some kick ass SFX in the future...

"Garageband"

date: October 20, 2007

Hay i hear a couple garageband drums and SFX in there. I use GB to...

ANYWAY....good game, but the questions are pretty damn hard...i only got like 9 right... But it was it's still good. I liked the format and how you put everything together.

Keep up to good work...

"Great quality but..."

date: October 16, 2007

...it was a little bland. The drawing themselves where very good. But just haveing the hair on the guy move was kinda boreing. If you made the grass wave in the background and the clowds dift across the sky and have the stars twinkel here and there, it would really spice this up.

Good drawings, just needs more animation...

Author's Response:

Thank you for the review, sir.

I actually had intended that, but I rushed through it. :( (I wonder if I deleted and resubmitted a more polished one, if I could get away with it?)

But, in future submissions they probably won't be as bland as this one. :)

~EnV~Heaven Rd. 3

"I believe..."

submission: ~EnV~Heaven Rd. 3
date: September 3, 2008

...That i reviewed the first version of this song and commented on how quiet it was... Holy fuck... what an improvement... on both Rd. 2 and 3. I have to admit, this is by far my favorite out of the other versions. Rd. 2 was very dancy... witch is nice... But this one is just gold. I LOVE the mastering on this one, you whipped out the effects book on this and it's fantastic. It's like a crazy seizure of awesomeness once it get's going... From 00:30 to 00: 60 is kick ass. I love that quiet industrial hammer sound... it reminded me of the one on Golden Eye. And everything from that point on is just damn insane, i'm a total sucker for anything kinda glitched and whacked out on filters and stuff, so i loved the hell out of this song. And the the revised piano melody was very nice too. No volume problems on this one, i gotta say, this is damn near perfection...

Can't wait for your new stuff to hit NG, I'll be sure to check the AP more often. Keep it up man, great stuff. :)

[Zell] Celebration

"Needs more cow bell..."

submission: [Zell] Celebration

4 hours huh... shit, mind as well make this into a full song. Doesn't quite loop to well but it still got me bouncein. Nice little loop man, keep it up.

Author's Response:

Cowbell is a universal instrument, however, I don't think it'd sound so good in this.

I'd love to work on this more, but school is coming up, so I probably won't be ablel to finish it anytime soon.

It loops perfectly in win-amp, it's the the NG player that screws up the loop.

[Zell] Halloween (X-Files)

"Spookey...ER"

date: August 16, 2008

Masterful... I rarely give a track perfect 10's but, i think i'll make an exception. Excellent progression, awesome beat, bass lines and synth use and great use of vocal samples as well. Would of like to hear some more glitch stuff... but hell there's just enough to tide me over. I like the kind of jungle flavor at the end there, it was a nice touch...although i think it would of been good to hear those powerful driving parts in the middle come back in. You really only hear them once before you transition into the next theme or melody. This is only a minor problem, one the comes straight from my own personal taste. So... in other words, you don't gotta really care.... ;)

Well to wrap this all up, congrats on an excellent song. You don't get to hear all together great songs in the AP too often... they're there... just too few and too far between. And make no mistake, this is one of those great songs.

Keep it up man, you've got real talent and i can't wait to hear what you come up with next.
